Dean Ambrose vs. The Miz Intercontinental Championship – If Ambrose is disqualified, he loses the title
While the premise sounds anti-Extreme, it did create an exciting match. Dean Ambrose had his usual tough but crazy offense while The Miz was the sneaky weasel who tried to frame Ambrose for being DQ’d.
There were some clever spots such as Miz trying to be disqualified by having Maryse slap him.
The ending was a little wonky. Miz pushed Ambrose into the ref and Ambrose tried to convince the ref of the chicanery. During the distraction, Miz pulled a Skullcrushing Finale for the win.
Certain spots could have been handled better and there was some slow-down in the middle. But this match had great action and great psychology.
