We Look at Joe Symes and the Loving Kind’s Latest EP ‘Acoustic Variations’
Last week we were fortunate to present to you Joe Symes and the Loving Kind, a Liverpool based three piece band for our Fresh Music Friday’s Feature which you can read here if you missed it. This week I thought we would have a look at their Acoustic Variations EP, the boys latest offering which was recently released in January of 2017 through Truly Independent Records.
Acoustic Variation is comprised of four amazing tracks, and it showcases just how versatile Joe Symes and TLK can be.
‘I’m Gonna Find Out Someday ‘ you will be familiar with from the Double A-Side “Things Get Better” we looked at last week. It has has been stripped down to its acoustic bones, and is still instantly recognisable with its upbeat and rhythmic sound accompanied with Joes distinctive and flawless vocals.
‘Fine Line ‘ is from the band’s debut album and has had an acoustic makeover. It has an ebullient and fresh vibe to it. It’s one of those tracks where you can’t help but tap your foot.
‘You’re Not Coming Back Tomorrow ‘ is the slow jam on the EP. This track is a beautifully instrumental piece full of emotion, while also showcasing Joe’s vocals.
‘No Turning Back ‘ is a delightful and well-rounded track to round out this remarkable acoustic offering from Joe Symes and the Loving Kind.
Joe Symes and the Loving Kind have proved yet again that they are masters at what they do and proves to be a rousing showcase of the band’s talent and is truly a delight to listen too and shows a softer side to what the band can do. Like I said last week, I can not get enough of this band their music is infectious, and it has a way of seeping into your soul and leaving you wanting more. The Guys kick off the Spring 2017 Mini-Tour on 7th April See the mini-tour dates above.
