Thor: Ragnarok to Venture Beyond the Nine Realms
In an interview to ScreenRant, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige revealed Thor: Ragnarok will mainly take place in space, with only three scenes on earth. The picture above seems to show a behind the scenes look at one of these few earth based scenes. Thor Ragnarok will also venture beyond Asgard and the nine realms, he compares it to ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’.
“In Thor lingo, it’s beyond the nine realms. There are other planets we spend a lot of time on in Thor: Ragnarok, that certainly people would say, ‘oh, that’s sort of like the Guardians world’, but there just other areas of the Marvel Cosmos Universe.” says Kevin Feige.
Although, the film being based in space comes as no surprise, due to the confirmed appearances of Hela and the Grandmaster and it was already mentioned that the film is inspired from elements of Planet Hulk.
It will most definitely be interesting to see our beloved Marvel universe expand further, what are you most excited for in Thor: Ragnarok? What do you think about the film exploring beyond the nine realms?
“In Marvel Studio’s Thor Ragnarok, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilisation – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow avenger – the Incredible Hulk!”
Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters November 3rd 2017, directed by Taika Waititi. Starring Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Mark Ruffalo, Cate Blanchett, Tessa Thompson, Idris Elba, Karl Urban, Jeff Goldblum, Ray Stevenson, Anthony Hopkins, Sam Neill, Benedict Cumberbatch, and hopefully a classic Stan Lee cameo.
