Teri Hatcher Joins the Cast of ‘Supergirl’ in Recurring Role

That’s right! Teri Hatcher will be joining the cast of Supergirl in a recurring role, her character has been said to be the new season 2 big bad.

You may recognise Teri Hatcher from the classic 90’s series Lois & Clark: The Adventures of Superman where she played Lois Lane. Hatcher is not the first to return to the DC universe, her ‘Lois & Clark’ co-star Dean Cain plays Jeremiah Danvers, Kara/Supergirl’s adoptive father. Do you think we could see an on-screen reunion?

They are not the only former DC stars to make an apperance, former Supergirl Helen Slater plays Kara/Supergirl’s adoptive mother, and the OG WonderWomen Lynda Carter graced the DCTV universe as the POTUS. Meanwhile, over on Earth 1 former The Flash actor John Wesley Shipp appears as Barry’s father and as Earth 2’s Jay Garrick.

It looks like we aren’t the only ones excited for Hatcher’s appearance, “No offence to any of the wonderful actresses who have played the part, but Teri Hatcher is my all time favourite Lois Lane,” says executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, “To have her come back to the SuperWorld in a completely different part is an unbelievable gift to me, Greg [Berlanti], and the fans.”

Hatcher has previously starred in Desperate Housewives and most recently The Odd Couple.
