Stranger Things Actress Millie Bobby Brown to Star in Godzilla Sequel
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Stranger Things (Netflix) actor Millie Bobby Brown has signed on to star in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which is the sequel to the 2014 movie reboot Godzilla.
Michael Dougherty is directing the film, with co-writer Zach Shields, who was also his partner on Legendary Pictures horror movie Krampus. For now, plot details are not being revealed to the public.
King of Monsters is part of a new giant monster cinematic universe that includes Kong: Skull Island. Kong will be released to theatres March 10th 2017. King of Monsters is scheduled for a March 2019 release.
Millie appeared on shows Once Upon a Time and Grey’s Anatomy before landing the role of the mysterious girl Eleven on Stranger Things. The show became a huge hit, earning nominations for best drama series Golden Globe, playing the part also earned Brown nominations for SAG and People’s Choice Awards.
With the second season of Stranger Things already greenlit and expected to be released sometime in summer 2017 on Netflix expect her popularity and movie roles to increase.
