Pop Culture Pipe Bomb Presents Fresh Music Friday’s Featured Band
A few weeks ago you might remember the article about the boys and their forthcoming EP ‘Let It Go‘ on Well Suspect Records which is set to land on 9th June 2017. I was lucky enough to get a sneak preview before the EP is unleashed on the world. But before we get down and dirty with the ‘Let It Go‘ review lets learn a little more about MILLIONS.
MILLIONS are a London based four-piece, with roots that extend to my neck of the woods in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The line-up features Dom Haddad (vocals) and Campbell Smith (bass) together with siblings Ted and Louis Tilbrook on guitar and drums respectively and whose father is Glenn Tilbrook; the founding member and lead singer of legendary new wave band Squeeze.
The band’s new EP features four brand new tracks including the EP’s eponymously titled lead single ‘Let It Go‘ which is accompanied by a great self-directed video.
EP Track Listing:
01. ‘Last Summer’
02. ‘Let It Go’
03. ‘Foolish Love’
04. ‘Baby Boy’
Now I have had the EP on repeat all week, and I can not get enough of it! ‘Let It Go‘ is simply an endlessly playable work of art. Every track on this EP transports you back in time, and it has that classic 70’s vibe about it, especially on tracks 3 and 4. With Dom’s dreamy vocals on point and the music arrangement on all four tracks flawless, ‘Let It Go‘ is ready to be your summer soundtrack!
The EP was recorded with Alex Franklinos at Shrunken Heads studios in Nunhead and will be released on limited edition seven inch vinyl and will also be available digitally at all the usual major outlets. The combination of cleverly-written songs and superb production make this EP exceptional.
MILLIONS will play a special single launch party in London at Nambucca on the Holloway Road on Wednesday the 7th of June 2017. More UK dates will be announced to coincide with the release of the band’s debut album later this year.
I strongly urge you to purchase this fantastic EP and support these incredibly talented guys. Also, don’t forget to head over and like their social media pages, tell them Pop Culture Pipe Bomb sent you.
