Have you heard of the band The Jeffery Brothers Band? Chances are if you watched Sons Of Anarchy you would have heard one of their tracks! So who are The Jeffery Brothers? Well, they are a rock band, based in Toronto, Canada. They formed in Ontario in 2000 and consists of twin brothers Josh (Lead Vocals, Guitar) and Nick (Drums). The Brothers have since gone on to create huge inroads on the Canadian and US music scene and beyond.
Having toured with some of the very best musicians from around the world, they also have had their music featured on many hit TV shows and films, and one such TV series was Sons Of Anarchy. The band rose to the top of the indie rock scene in Ontario, which was partially due to their live appearance on the TV show “Arbor Live“, which had a sizeable audience of 300,000! The band released their debut EP, Splitting Headache in 2005 and it was widely received and went on to sell over 10,000 units.
The boys have performed with many renowned acts including singer Bernard Fowler (Rolling Stones, Herbie Hancock), Quiet Riot, Great White more. In 2003 the boys gained the attention of Rok Cartel Music Group who went on to sign the band in 2004, the band had toured extensively playing in clubs and open air festivals in Canada, US and Europe. In 2010 they released their first full-length album Cuttin Loose which showcased their dynamic 1970s styled rock and had become a staple of the boys live shows.
As mentioned before The Jeffery Brothers songs have featured on several TV shows including, ‘Cuttin loose ‘ on Sons Of Anarchy, ‘One For The Money ‘ on Carmen Electra’s Mardi Gras Spring Break, ‘I Wanna Rock ‘ on both MTV’s Hard Times and Degrassi: Next Generation. The track ‘Lets Rock Lets Roll ‘ is taken from the band’s second album of the same name which was released in 2015. I have been listening to this single all day, and it’s bold and a rock solid track. This week the band also featured as the third act of the week with our friends at Deuce Music.
The Jeffery Brothers are definitely a band worth checking out and worthy of a spot on your playlist! The band’s Facebook page also states that they were heading back to the studio in March so we may not have to wait too long to hear some new music from the boys.
