New Thor: Ragnarok Teaser Trailer released
Hello, viewers! The new teaser trailer for Thor: Ragnarok has arrived and it’s awesome! Please, I urge you to watch this teaser trailer BEFORE you go any further with this post. Thank you.
Now that we’ve watched the clip, we can further analyze the entire thing.
The Creepy Lady
Let’s start with the creepy lady who could, not only hold Thor’s hammer but break it! Well, that is Hela (Cate Blanchett), the Goddess of Death. She’s pretty crazy. Her powers are similar to Asgardian Gods which consist of superhuman strength, stamina, agility, speed, and durability. Basically, she’s stronger than Thor (Chris Hemsworth). (And apparently his hammer.)
Was that the Grandmaster?
Things begin to get interesting here. The Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum) is one of the Elders. Meaning he is one of the oldest beings alive. His race began after the Big Bang. So, in theory, he is 13.8 billion years old. The Grandmaster’s powers consist of knowledge. Think about that for a minute. He doesn’t just have knowledge in the present, he has 13.8 billion years worth of knowledge. On top of that, he has knowledge of almost all civilizations since the Big Bang. You know what they say, “Knowledge is power.” Another attribute of his is that he studies all games and game theories around the universe. Maybe this is his stadium that we see in the trailer?
What’s going on with Loki?
Is he escaping from another facility again? How many times is this guy going to get captured? All I can say is that he looks mischievous as ever.
Thor’s Bromance with Hulk
This is my favorite bromance of all time! In the trailer, Thor is waiting and preparing to see his opponent. The gates begin to open and out comes the roaring Hulk (Mark Ruffalo). Thor’s facial expression goes from determined to overjoyed to see his worthy fighting friend from Midgard (Earth). This, right here, made me laugh so hard because it put everyone, including the Grandmaster, in shock. Just speechless.
The one thing I’m curious about in this scene is that Hulk doesn’t seem happy to see Thor. Is it possible that they tortured him to the point where Bruce Banner cannot see the light of day? What is going to happen to Thor without his hammer? Will he get a new weapon? Will we be seeing Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) in the film? (I bet everyone forgot about the end credit scene of Dr. Strange!) What would you like to see the film? Let us know what you think about the trailer in the comment section.
