NBC Sitcom “Superstore” Gets a Third Season
If you have never heard of Superstore than my friends, you are missing out on a hilariously quirky tv series. Superstore is a sitcom on NBC and is created by Justin Spitzer who also serves as an executive producer along with America Ferrera.
Superstore follows a group of employees each with their own quirks and problems who work at Cloud 9 a big-box store in St. Louis, Missouri. It centres around Amy (America Ferrera), she is the glue that holds them together. Jonah (Ben Feldman) is usually the butt of his colleagues jokes and works the floor with his fellow colleagues Sardonic Garrett (Colton Dunn), Mateo (Nico Santos) and the sweet but air-headed teenager and new mum Cheyenne (Nichole Bloom). Over the seeing Cloud, 9 is Glenn (Mark McKinney) the clueless store manager and Dana (Lauren Ash), the very aggressive assistant store manager who enforce store policy with an iron fist. NBC announced yesterday that Superstore had been renewed for a full 22-episode third season, much to its fans delight.
“We are extremely proud of Superstore, which is one of the smartest and funniest comedies on television today,” said NBC President of Entertainment, Jennifer Salke. “Through the show’s expertly drawn characters, our producers and cast do a remarkable job touching on many issues to which audiences can relate. To its credit, not only does Superstore make us laugh, but it makes us think as well.”
