Natalie McCool Set to Release New Single ‘You & I’ Landing in March 2017
Natalie McCool, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who won a Yamaha-sponsored national songwriting competition judged by Coldplay’s Chris Martin. McCool was also fortunate enough to have a one-on-one songwriting session with Paul McCarteny is set to release her new single on her own Fortress Sounds imprint via Ditto Music on the 24th March 2017.
McCool’s single ‘You & I ‘, released digitally and available on all major outlets, and is one of the highlights of her second album ‘The Great Unknown ‘ which landed in November last year. ‘You & I ‘ is a psych-pop steeped track with an infectious and hypnotic beat and killer guitar lines throughout. ‘The Great Unknown ‘ is a follow up to Mc Cool’s 2013’s eponymously titled debut and was recorded and produced by Dave Berger from Outfit at Schall Und Wahn in Liverpool. The album now audible on iTunes & Spotify, it also features additional production and mixed on the singles ‘Pins ‘, ‘Cardiac Arrest ‘, ‘Fortress ‘ and ‘Oh Danger ‘ by Rich Turvey.
McCool has an ever-growing support base of fans due to her modernistic, fresh and exceptional take on pop music and it’s this that sets McCool apart from her contemporaries. Her early work was built on a foundation of seductively dark indie-pop. ‘The Great Unknown ‘ leaves the depth of dark indie-pop to explore playful, fresh and funky sounds of psych-pop. Some of McCool’s fans include Huw Stephen, Alice Levine, The 405, Wonderland, Q, Clash, Line of Best, The Sunday Times and now can most definitely add Pop Culture Pipe Bomb and me, Presh to her fan list! McCool’s sound is invigorating, it gets under your skin and into your soul and has a way of making you feel good. But don’t just take it from me, check this incredibly talented woman out for yourself you can listen ‘You & I ‘ here https://soundcloud.com/nataliemccool/you-i/s-6uHye
