Meet George Brown Releases New Single ‘Paper Hearts (Dancing in the Wind)’

Meet George Brown a London-based, Malaysian-born songwriter George Brown an Indie Folk Rock act who has recently released her self-titled EP ‘Meet George Brown‘  in April of this year which her single ‘Paper Hearts (Dancing in the Wind) ‘ comes off.

Combining influences of Californian sunshine and the Laurel Canyon golden era of the 60’s and 70’s along with more contemporary indie folk, Meet George Brown’s self-titled debut EP soon became an ”in demand” project after it quickly reaching its target on a crowdfunded website.

Meet George Brown’s music is underpinned by elements of Spanish guitar techniques, cultivated while living with the cave-dwelling gipsies of Southern Spain, and deft fingerpicking developed by perpetually busking around London. Open guitar tuning and layered three-part harmonies give the music a signature accent which is showcased in the self-titled debut EP.

For the final EP recordings, George’s songs were pieced together at Felix’s Tigersonic Studio bringing in additional musicians (including label signees of Beggars’ Banquet ) who now also from George’s live band. Which comprises of  Craig Coggle (drums ), Jake Honeywill (bass ), Jordan Humber (electric guitar ) and Judy “Groovejoy” Abraham (live backing vocals ).

Meet George Brown is described as having songs that are anecdotal gems with one foot either side of the Atlantic. This week Meet George Brown is also featured as one of the “Acts Of Week” over with our friends at Deuce Music.

Having gained a name for herself busking around London, she has since gone on to perform at a few established venues and received a variety of airplay after the release of ‘Meet George Brown’.

Paper Hearts (Dancing in the Wind) ‘ is delightfully catchy with a big dose of feel-good thrown in which I think you guys are going to love!
