Marvel Cinematic Universe Official Synopses for Avengers: Infinity War, Black Panther, and Thor: Ragnarok

Finally, some insight on the highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thor, Black Panther, and the Avengers are next in line for the MCU. All movies leading up to the inevitable shift in the Marvel Universe.

The thunder-god, Thor reuniting with the Hulk. King T’Challa (Chadwick Bosemanis dealing with his own civil war within the nation of Wakanda. The Avengers linking up with the Guardians of the Galaxy to deal with the likes of the mighty titan, Thanos (Josh Brolin).

The official synopses for the films are as followed.

Thor Ragnarok

“Thor’s world is about to explode in Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok. His devious brother, Loki, has taken over Asgard, the powerful Hela has emerged to steal the throne for herself and Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe. To escape captivity and save his home from imminent destruction, Thor must first win a deadly alien contest by defeating his former ally and fellow Avenger… The Incredible Hulk!”

So Thor and Loki duking it out for the throne again. What’s new? Hela‘s interference is new I guess. Thor is being banished from Asgard again and we finally get to see the big green monster. The Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) return is definitely the huge selling point – not seeing Hulk since Avengers: Age of Ultron. Check out Thor Ragnarok on November 3rd, 2017.

Black Panther

“After the events of Captain America: Civil War, King T’Challa returns home to the reclusive, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to serve as his country’s new leader. However, T’Challa soon finds that he is challenged for the throne from factions within his own country. When two foes conspire to destroy Wakanda, the hero known as Black Panther must team up with C.I.A. agent Everett K. Ross and members of the Dora Milaje, Wakandan special forces, to prevent Wakanda from being dragged into a world war.”

It’s a little refreshing to have another character introduced to the timeline, isn’t it? Admittedly, it sounds very enticing. Factions and gangs going after King T’Challa and how he defends his throne. Maybe we see a Winter Soldier appearance? Possibly? Hopefully? We’ll see on February 16th, 2018.

Avengers: Infinity War

“As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.”

Probably the most hyped up event in the Marvel Universe timeline. It’s the period at the end of a sentence. The end of the storybook for most of the characters we’ve grown fond of. Infinity War is definitely a turning point in the MCU. So expect a lot of changes and somebody is going to be leaving us. The end of an era will be out on May 4th, 2018, so you might have to cut your Star Wars marathon short. It’s cool, you can cut out Episode I.
