It Comes at Night Eerie Trailer Released

A trailer is released for the movie It Comes at Night directed by Trey Edward Shults which will be released on the 25th of August 2017. The movie is said to be a horror/mystery. With such a title what else could it have been?

IMDB describes the plot of the movie as follows:
Secure within a desolate home as an unnatural threat terrorizes the world, a man has established a tenuous domestic order with his wife and son, but this will soon be put to test when a desperate young family arrives seeking refuge.

So here is the trailer without further ado.

The trailer shows us a dark and secluded place, at least near or in a forest.  A perfect setting for a horror/mystery movie in my opinion. Spooky peep-hole in a wall, a fire in the middle of the woods.  And yeah a guy in a creepy mask is always adding to the creep factor. Nothing bad going to happen at all. This just means that all the elements are there for it to get really scary and gruesome.

It Comes at Night is directed and written by Trey Edward Shults. He is best known for directing and writing Krisha, which has won several awards for directing. So all in all everything looks very promising.

Not much is known about who plays what part in the movie. Maybe that is part of the mystery of the movie. But since not much is known so far about the movie plot and character wise it doesn’t matter to know who plays which part. I couldn’t tell you based on the trailer because I don’t recognize any off them. So who is in it you ask? Joel Edgerton (Star Wars, The Secret Life of Us),  Riley Keough (Magic Mike), Christopher Abbott (Girls), Carmen Ejogo (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) and Kelvin Harrison Jr. star in the movie.

So the line up for this movie is promising as well. And I am looking forward to seeing the whole movie and what it is all about. Because what the movie is all about is a mystery to me. Sure IMDB gave a plot but that is not much to go on for me at least. So we will just have to wait before we can see it. How and where it will be shown is unbeknown to me but some of you will be able to see it after the 25th of August since the movie will be released on the 25th August 2017 by A24, the production company.

So let me know what you think of the trailer, does it look promising or not? And does it have you on the edge of your seat already?
