Final LOGAN Trailer Coming Soon: Jackman and Mangold Share First and Last Images Online

It looks like the FINAL trailer for Logan will be here soon.

With the premiere date of March 3rd rapidly approaching, fans of Hugh Jackman and his portrayal of Wolverine don’t have much longer to wait.

A few weeks ago, 20th Century Fox quietly launched a cool little viral site called where fans could sign up to receive an actual postcard of a single frame from the upcoming feature. In all, only 1974 cards would be sent out (hence the site’s name). The recipients of the postcards/frames were asked to post their frames online. Once all 1974 were posted, the studio would then release the final trailer.

The cards have finally been sent and both Jackman and the film’s director, James Mangold have posted their frames.

It’s hard to tell anything from the frames. All we really see is a bit of landscape in the first. The bleakness of the frame sets the tone of the movie as you’ll find out.

In the last frame, all we see is Jackman and co-star Dafne Keen driving in a car together. Where they’re going, only time will tell. Keen plays Laura Kinney/X-23, a female clone of Wolverine.

The movie will also see Patrick Stewart return as Charles Xavier/Professor X as well as one of the actors of the moment, Boyd Holbrook, as cyborg and X-Men hater Donald Pierce. You can see Holbrook over on the popular Netflix series Narcos.

The premise of Logan takes us to a future many years after the events of X-Men: Days of Futures Past where Logan, Xavier, and other Mutants must protect a young girl named Laura who has capabilities very similar to Wolverine’s. The girl is being hunted by an evil organization led by Nathanial Essex. With Logan’s healing ability beginning to fail and Xavier’s Alzheimer’s, Logan ends up turning to the little girl for help.

Logan will be the last time Jackman plays the character that launched his career and the X-Men franchise way back in 1999. Mangold and Jackman have encouraged all of the recipients of the postcards to add the hashtag #OneLastTime which has a double meaning; Jackman’s last appearance as the titular character and Logan’s last attempt at being the hero.

Stay tuned for the final trailer. Don’t forget Logan hits theaters on March 3, 2017.
