2017 WWE Hall Of Fame Just Got The Gold Standard: Kurt Angle Inducted To Hall Of Fame
It’s true it’s damn true! OK it’s cliche, but I don’t care, Kurt Angle is in the 2017 WWE Hall Of Fame.
After making his debut in WWE in 98,10,’ the Atlanta Olympic Gold Medalist is immortalised. It’s been a long road especially after he requested his release from WWE in 2006. Angle spent ten strong years in TNA, making them a top brand in pro wrestling. Also, being inducted into TNA’a Hall Of Fame.
The former six time world champ left WWE kind of abruptly in 2006 for reason in know at the time. Angle stated to ESPN: “It was one of those things where when I left WWE, it wasn’t on bad terms.“It was just that I couldn’t do anything for them anymore because I was banged up and they couldn’t do anything more for me. I never felt ill will against them. It wasn’t like a nasty parting, it was just our time is up. You go your way, and I’ll go mine.”
Everyone in time always come home, and Angle is finally home. “I was shocked. I’ve been out of WWE for a long time and out of touch with them so I didn’t really expect this.
“It’s a huge honour. This is the only Hall of Fame that I’m not in and probably [the one] I want to be in the most. This is the one that means the most for me. I had a lot of fun entertaining the fans for seven years with WWE, and I’m glad that my hard work paid off.”
Angle will take his six time WWE world title accolade into the HOF on March 31, during the Wrestlemania 33 weekend. Hopefully we get one more match out of one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.
